GELLI PRINTING: NATURE EDITION This special nature-themed edition of the Gelli printing sessions will focus on organic and plant-based objects to use as inspiration for designing our own stencils, as well as for using these objects directly on the plate as stencils. We’ll focus on plants, flowers, sticks, bark, leaves, and any other natural-based objects to create patterns and monoprints on paper and fabric. This workshop is great for students who have taken the Mark Making with Gelli Plates session or anyone who has done some experimental printing on their own. Students are encouraged to bring (not mandatory): Feel free to bring any fun nature objects to experiment with. And of course if you own gelli plates of any size, or nature stencils feel free to bring them as well. Gel Plates are also available to purchase from the MightyMighty store.

 A materials fee of $15 will cover the paint, paper, fabric and any other supplies used during the class. (Bring cash, or Venmo the instructor during the class.) BIO: e bond is an artist, bookbinder, writer, and designer currently living in Richmond, CA. Under the studio name roughdrAftbooks—created in 2003—she creates artists’ books, handmade journals and mixed media pieces that blur the boundaries of art, craft, design, and poetry. 
e holds an MFA in Book Art & Poetry from Mills College. Her work has been featured at The San Francisco Center for the Book, in Anthropologie stores, the Berkeley Poetry Review, & 500 Handmade Books.
