more about this class
This 5-day Fiber Arts camp is a hands-on studio experience for teens who want to explore textiles, pattern, color, and craft in a creative and experimental way. Each day offers a different theme and technique—blending art, design, and process-based making. Throughout the week, students will learn a range of fiber-based practices including fabric block printing, indigo dyeing, botanical dyeing, and visible mending. Teens will create their own fabric samples, wearable pieces, and textile experiments, while building skills they can continue using long after camp ends. This camp is perfect for teens interested in fashion, design, DIY culture, or anyone who wants to work with their hands and make something original. Daily Themes May Include: Fabric Block Printing + Pattern Making Indigo Dyeing + Resist Techniques Botanical Dyeing + Natural Color Exploration Mending + Stitching for Repair and Style Final Day: Combining Techniques + Personal Project All materials provided, with plenty of room for teens to bring in clothing or fabric pieces they want to transform. No prior experience needed. Cancellation Policy: A 50.00$ administrative fee will be charged for all camp cancellations. If you cancel 30 days or more before the first day of camp, the remaining balance of your tuition will be refunded or credited toward another class.
