Architecture and Collage Workshop In this workshop, we’ll explore how collage and drawing can be used to tell stories about the spaces and places that matter to us. Whether reflecting on a personal memory, capturing the meaning of a familiar environment, or imagining a future vision, you’ll create a unique 11" x 17" collage that blends personal narrative with speculative design. We’ll begin by setting an intention—your collage might represent a significant moment, the feeling of a place, or a “what if” reimagining that stretches beyond reality. Through a mix of drawing and collage, you’ll learn how to Expanding images beyond the page using perspective Layering and arranging pre-printed collage materials Adding detail with drawing on mylar—through text, templates, or architectural elements Combining everything into a finished work that blends story and imagination Materials Fee 25.00 paid directly to instructor. BIO: Artist Bio I’m the daughter of Indian Immigrants and was born and raised in Los Angeles. My work is an exploration of my identity with a heap of bollywood, grunge, punk and Los Angeles thrown in. Through collage, I reconstruct personal narratives and reimagine them, erasing, recombining and layering to uncover new vibrancies and truths. I've always relied collage in my work as a practicing architect to speculate, imagine and tell stories about space; it’s a design tool and an accessible medium to convey ideas. My work as an architect is focused on the public space, designing affordable housing, schools and community based work.
