more about this class
Collage: Color and Shape With her beautiful use of color and shapes, Ukrainian / French artist, Sonia Delaunay (1885-1979), created paintings, collages, fabric designs, and theatre designs that sought to capture the magic of light. In this collage workshop, we will play with paper in bold colors, using strong contrasts, and a wide range of geometric shapes to create collages that feel energetic and bright. Open to all levels, this workshop is a great opportunity to “self-recycle” by bringing in your old artwork practice pages or other papers you have at home to transform through collage. there is a 10.00$ materials fee paid directly to artist the day of class. Suggested materials: Bring your favorite scissors and glue if you’d like, but these are also available in the studio. Bring any paper you are willing to cut up from home to add to your collage (solid colors work best in combination with a few patterned or multicolored pieces). BIO:
