more about this class
Bookbinding for Beginners Binding your own books is a fun, challenging, and addictive adventure and it all starts with a few fundamental skills: cutting, folding, covering, and sewing. Join artist e bond in this intimate class setting to learn & practice basic bookbinding skills while making actual books. You’ll leave with 2-3 blank book forms: a star book ornament, an accordion book, and a hand-sewn journal (all by you!). Supply fee of $15 covers: all the paper, glue, bookboard, and sewing materials you’ll need to make three forms plus a small kit of tools you can take with you. Feel free to bring cash, or Venmo the instructor during the class. You are also encouraged to bring additional decorated paper to use for your book covers if you choose to. BIO: e bond is an artist, bookbinder, writer, and designer currently living in Richmond, CA.
