more about this class
Join Erin for a workshop exploring color theory through the medium of collage. Inspired by the teachings of color theorist and artist, Josef Albers, we will use a set of colorful papers to move through a series of quick color studies. We will look at the color wheel and the color triangle for color combinations and ideas. Following our quick color study collages, we will focus on one larger or more intricate piece exploring a set of colors or your choice. $10 material fee which includes 25+ 4x6 color cards, background papers in white and black to work on, and a good quality glue stick. Scissors available to use in class. BIO: Erin has a BA in studio art and art history from Beloit College, and an MFA from California College of the Arts in writing. Erin is a faculty member of the 92NY School of the Arts in New York City. With other nonprofits and art centers, Erin teaches collage and mixed media classes and workshops throughout the Bay Area.
