In this workshop, you’ll transform meaningful images into unique and memorable collage art. The artist will guide you through his professional techniques for processing and preparing images, offering valuable insights into his signature approach. Participants are encouraged to bring photographs of people they wish to feature in their artwork. Upon purchasing the workshop, attendees will be asked to submit portrait photos of themselves, loved ones, or any subject they choose. These images will be processed by the artist using one of his various styles or methods, creating customized materials for your collages. For those seeking a more dynamic experience, the artist will also provide on-site portrait photography during the session. This interactive workshop blends technical expertise with creative collaboration, offering a rare opportunity to explore the art of collage-making under the guidance of a seasoned professional. Materials include: 12 inch x 12 inch panel Matte medium Empty Squeeze Bottle Silicon paint wedges (materials fee is paid directly to artist the day of the workshop in the amount of 25.00.) BIO: Anthony Grant (b. 1976) is a Bay Area-based collage artist who defies conventional interpretations of his work, inviting viewers to embark on their own journeys of discovery. His art seamlessly blends digital and analog techniques, breathing new life into found and original imagery. Grant's collages are deeply rooted in his background, drawing inspiration from vintage African American publications, hip hop music, and the complexities of modern society. Born in the Bronx, New York, Grant's artistic sensibilities were nurtured from a young age. He honed his skills as a graphic designer at the International Fine Arts College in Miami, Florida. He currently resides and creates in the neighboring towns of El Cerrito and Emeryville, California. His artistic journey has been marked by steady growth and recognition, with his recent focus on collage garnering significant attention.

When scheduling classes, please note that workshops will be automatically canceled if enrollment is four participants or fewer. If this occurs, your credit will be applied to the next available workshop of the same name. If no future session is scheduled, a full refund will be issued. Also, you can cancel your class up to 7 days prior to the scheduled date. In the event of a cancellation, you will receive a credit toward your next booking. Please be aware that we do not offer refunds.
